Our story
Love Lane Allotments plot 53a was renovated by Ukrainian families in Gainsborough during the summer of 2022. What began as a simple project has blossomed into a vibrant centre dedicated to gardening education and, most importantly, the wellbeing of its members.
Our journey
From its humble beginnings, plot 53a has evolved into a serene haven. Here, the silence is broken only by the sounds of nature and gentle conversation, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Members often find that time flies by, captivated by the green spaces and ever-changing vegetable patches.

Annual garden party 2026
Sunday 24th August 12-3pm- anyone who has helped, worked or supported plot 53a is invited to join us.
The bar-b-que will be lit, table and chairs put out, bring a National dish for everyone to share; have at hand a copy of the recipe as we have had some remarkable food in the past.
